About Bay Super Nannies

Hundreds of successful nanny placements:  Since 2002, Bay Super Nannies (formerly Bay SuperSitters and Nannies) has been finding, screening, referring, and successfully connecting hundreds of the best Bay Area nannies, with over 500 wonderful client families around the SF Bay Area.

A local agency:  There are many kinds of nanny agencies in the Bay Area to choose from – big and small – with different focuses, processes, guarantees and fee rates.  Bay Super Nannies is a smaller, local agency – offering the personalized touch of dealing with the agency owner, not a large staff, each and every time.

Lower fees:  Bay Super Nannies (formerly Bay SuperSitters and Nannies) has always had lower than average fees for parents – because great service, thorough background checks, and a great nanny match should be accessible for many families, not just for a few!

Now focusing on full time only nanny placements, in SF and Peninsula only:  Originally covering the entire Bay Area and covering full time, part time, etc., Bay Super Nannies now focuses on San Francisco and the Peninsula (San Francisco county and San Mateo county), and only refers full time (30 to 50+ hours/week) permanent, live-out nannies (temporary or summer nannies also frequently available – please inquire!)

Focusing on one need equals more success!:  By focusing on only one need, BSN can offer parents a superb selection of highly qualified candidates, and can offer registered BSN nannies a great selection of wonderful families – instead of sifting through many nannies and families with different schedules, hours wanted, and far away locations, almost every BSN family and nanny has the potential for a match!

Careful matching saves you time:  Bay Super Nannies has a great pool of qualified full time nannies, all in the area, and the agency will further assist you by screening each nanny a second time specifically for your job specifications, asking questions such:

  • Do they have experience and great references from children the same ages as yours?
  • Do they have a car, if you require that?
  • Can they work with the pet you have? etc….

…all before sending you their profiles for approval to interview.  Don’t waste time with nannies that aren’t a match for exactly what you need!

Your success counts:  With Bay Super Nannies, there is no pressure to hire a nanny just to “fill the job.”  The goal is to find a long term match that really lasts.  With a smaller agency, referrals and word of mouth are critical, and the long term success and happiness of every client really matters!

Bay Super Nannies agency’s large word-of-mouth network means more nanny choices for you:  Bay Super Nannies has good relationships with other agencies, recruiters, and child-care related and employment resources all over the Bay Area, ensuring a good pool of leads and referrals for client families.

Hello!  My name is Becky Meyer and I have been personally operating Bay Super Nannies (formerly Bay SuperSitters and Nannies) since its start in 2002.  I handle all aspects, such as nanny applications, client and nanny interviews, submitting background checks, interview feedback, etc.  I took an extended maternity break after the birth of my second, but am now back full force as of June 2013.

In the last 10+ years, I’ve personally matched over 500 families with wonderful nannies, with a high success rate of 90+%.  Many of my nannies continue working for their families for more than one  year, and stay in their lives even after the job ends as friends of the family!

My background includes a degree in Communications and Marketing from the University of Michigan, and extensive hands on personal experience with children: a past long term full time nanny job (for 5 years), several “babysitting” jobs that lasted 8-12 years each, and extensive experience as a post-partum doula/newborn specialist as well.

And now as a mother of two, I’ve experienced the childcare business from all sides, and know how crucial a good nanny fit is, both for the family and the caregiver!

Hiring a nanny can be an emotional experience, and I’m there and available for parents, whether to answer questions, offer resources, or share suggestions that worked well for past families and clients.  I also round out the process with concrete information: extensive nanny screening and thorough background checks – the kinds of things I would want to know about my own potential nanny – really giving my clients confidence that they chose wisely.

Bay Super Nannies is a member of the INA (International Nanny Association) and has 4 and 5 star reviews on Yelp, Lilaguide, and Babies by the Bay (2nd edition).
